More Kdrama Heat Suggestions
Added 2023-07-10 18:55:09 +0000 UTCGearing up to replace Goblin. With either it’s OK not to be OK or flower of evil. So aside from those two shows. What other suggestions do you have for kdramas? We are not done with it’s not OK to be OK or flower of evil but full transparency we like those shows more than Goblin.
I think shows that focus on emotional vulnerability and a box of tissues don’t get the best from us…..cuz we don’t feel those emotions 😅. We feel anger and happiness. Dunno what happened to the sad emotion.

I loved Business Proposal (which I binged on your channel) and it has some similarities but enough differences to make it worth watching. I agree with some of the above which are some of my favorites…W two worlds, Doom at Your Service, Strong Woman….and IU wears some fantastic outfits in Hotel De Luna. Another one I thought of on Netflix is Mystic Pop Up Bar. As you can tell from my suggestions, I lean more into romance but romance is in the background on that show and it is more supernatural in concept. So many good suggestions in the comments. Reminds me of shows I need to rewatch. A few more suggestions. On Netflix is a show called Busted. It’s a reality type clue show with a lot of k-drama actors and k-pop idols. Premise is a core group of characters solve crimes and the guest stars are other actors or idols and they use their real names for their characters (that is where I was first introduced to Kim Sejong from Business Proposal and Uncanny Counter). I laughed so much! Even if you don’t react to it for us it’s worth watching on your own for comedy relief. Another show that is on Viki is young actors retreat. The director of 3 shows gathers his cast (Itawon class, Love in the Moonlight, and The Sound of Magic) for a retreat that involves games. It’s a way to see actors interact with each other. It too has comedic moments.

Or a crime thriller like WATCHER or BEYOND EVIL. PINNOCHIO got me into kdramas, but I have no idea where you can find that one anymore. And if you ever decide to break your "nothing beyond 20 eps" rule, you'd really like SIX FLYING DRAGONS. The stunt swordplay alone is amazing, but the plot is crazy. Or CROWNED CLOWN, but that one's super dark.

Strong woman Do Bong Soon is more comedy meets superhero love story with some good foot action for Lee to fan over. Reborn rich is also another good one.

The comedy is a level of cringe you would appreciate. Another Show I think you would enjoy that is short is "D.P.", this is a look into the military life for civilians that have to serve in the army which is eye-opening look at the whole system and effects on the people who serve. Plus it has a second season coming up this month so it might have traction as a current show that is airing. Another I want to recommend because it's a really good show but it's longer is "Taxi". It has 2 seasons but I heard nothing but good things from people that watch it. It has comedy, action, and plot that will keep you invested in the show. Lastly I think y'all would enjoy "The Good Detective". It's similar to Taxi as a crime show but this one focuses on the police and struggles to find the truth. It also has comedy that you can appreciate. Also has 2 seasons too, which means it's long as well. Hopefully you keep these shows in mind since they all have some aspects that I think y'all would enjoy.

Both are light hearted romcom and includes that slice of life which will definitely bring out great reactions. Also the stories are easy to follow so won't involve too much mental gymnastics but still will get you three guessing on some reveals!

For for action and crime, Taxi Driver, The Devil Judge, Man To Man or The Good Detective. For more fantasy like Goblin, I would say then The King: Eternal Monarch, Hotel Luna, Missing : The other side, or Tomorrow. For more mixture of good story/emotional, then Move To Heaven, If You Wish Upon Me and The Camellia Blooms. I've seen all of these and just based on some of the ones you have watched thought you might like them. I know it a lot--LOL I actually didn't include all of them I thought you would like cause the list was getting too long. The one thing that I have grown to love about kdramas is there are soooo many that are good that it can be hard to choose. I've been enjoying your reactions and just thought you would enjoy all of them lol!

Without spoiling, K2 has some interesting chemistry between 2 ppl who are supposed to be enemies, but are better than the romantic leads. Hard to describe but I find it interesting lol.

Mad for Each Other is a hilarious lighthearted Romcom, its 13 episodes, but Each one is only about 30 mins long, so it's a quick watch. I guarantee you guys will be dying laughing by the end of the 1st episode. Also, the kpop artist you love Lee Suhyun is a supporting actress in it. -P.S. I knew Goblin wouldn't be for you guys from the beginning, I was surprised by the recommendations.

They all have 1 season, are all very different and amazing. The first 4 are romances with drama (nothing heavy), the 5th one is a murder mystery, the 6th one is a sitcom with a unique plot, and the last one is an engaging drama with a lot of twists. All of those dramas are amazing and I never got bored or sleepy watching them.

One of my personal favorites is Bulgasal: Immortal Souls which is good & on netflix but idk if many have reacted to it! Vagabond is also really good & pretty popular! D. P. came out almost 2 years ago . It was very popular on Netflix too. It was so popular that it was renewed for a second season that will drop July 28. Celebrity just came out June 30 this year
