Any long running show has bad parts. Its still a top show for me in overall quality and I thought the show was the worst in the middle but got really good at the end but of course the beginning was the best. Game of thrones had multiple bad seasons near the end, still doesn't mean it wasnt one of the best shows overall and the same with Lost. I could list long running shows endlessly and you won't find one that was perfect from beginning to end so based on that I will say yes smallville is one of the greatest shows and I dont care if it had multiple bad seasons it was still enjoyable all the way through.
