Glad you've finally payed attention to it lmao Idk personally, I like both girls but I would feel really upset for Kana if she wasn't the one to end up with aqua. I can't really tell you why but I just feel like she needs him. Akane has had lots of ups and downs but Kana has kind of been on a low for a very long time and I just feel like if she'd lose him, she'd go back to doubting herself to no end and then it could possibly be the last straw for her. But maybe that's just my perception of it.

Kana being the only person that aqua also acts more like his old self with is also very important in my opinion. It's not healthy for him to fixate and follow down this path looking for Ais killer and I think kana is one of the only people that can show him there is more to his life than just that goal

Murmuring to yourself "I won't lose" with that look on her face is just about as crazy as the face Akane made. I think Aqua's line about actors suggest they're on equal footing there. I just think Aqua enjoys more playfully antagonistic relationships
