Cursed swords are simply swords with too strong of personality that weak people can’t control them and the sword acts out (like Enma is now) and the user ends up getting killed; so they call the sword cursed. Cursed swords are just strong swords that needs a strong user to break it in. Think like a wild horse. That’s what the old man was saying.
