I'm convinced that huge breasts are needed to efficiently use explosion magic. Think about it. Both Wiz and this woman were able to use Explosion without collapsing. It's like they store reserve mana in them or some shit lmao. Also, Arue is a pretty good student in the practicals it seems, so I'm convinced big breasts has an impact on magic usage in general. XD

From what I see here, it's Megumin's journey and adventures to learning Explosion magic. Thus the only time you see her using it in full force, will be the last ep or last few episodes and she refined it until she full blast final boss of this side story.

Well, I think your points are valid. Explosion magic was used so many times it's easy to pinpoint its major flaws

This is NOT a spoiler. This is what we already know from the series. I've actually recently rewatched their entire konosuba reaction + movie (that's outside the at least 4x i've rewatched the series) . Director mentions if it would be explained why the crimson demons think of explosion magic as a joke when the teacher just clearly gave the reason why. Too much investment, no practical use. 1st point has been said by Kazuma at the end of episode 2 of season 1 when after they finished the first quest and he was trying to dump her out of the party. 2nd point it's an obvious inference because the Crimson demons are said to have a huge mana pool, thats why they are all mages I think Aqua mentioned this when they first met Megumin in episode 2. Aside from that she's also an archwizard which obviously has a lot of int stat. So if even a crimson demon's in advanced class' mana pool can't handle it, then it would obviously be too much for the average wizard. 3.) Seems like common sense. What else would you use explosions for anyway? Obviously you'd want it to destroy things, but since it's too big it's harder to control what you actually destroy. 4.) If you watch through season 1 until the movie, you would notice that over time Megumin's incantation becomes shorter or almost gone altogether (except for the word explosion). Of course it's possible that this spell doesn't need an incantation but if that's the case why would Wiz also need to chant (against the destroyer)? That means there is a something that can decrease cast time. So you can connect the dots and infer that Megumin added skill points to cast speed. This two skills also has been confirmed in vol 1 of light novel. As for when I pulled this knowledge of Detonation family of magics, Megumin briefly mentions this in season 1 episode 2 She mentions explosion being the most powerful in the detonation family of magic. And they mention it again this episode, the translations will differ depending on the people who subbed it. Blasting = blast, bombing = detonation, bursting = explosion. Megumin (and the teacher) seems to use the word Bakuretsu(bursting) and Bakuhatsu (explosion) interchangeably, because she uses Bakuretsu(bursting) to refer to explosion magic. Remember the famous lines of Deidara. Geijutsu wa (Art is) Bakuhatsu da (an Explosion). So as you can see, I am just explaining what's already there and I am not pulling out explanations from any spoiler sources.

Explosion magic is called a joke magic because there's too much cost for little to no practical application plus with the added restrictions. There are 3 spells in the detonation series, including Blast, Detonation, and Explosion. Blast can be used for construction, and clearing debris, anything that can't be taken out by blast you can use Detonation. Now here's the part why nobody wants Explosion magic. 1.) It can't be used for construction because it will destroy everything in a large area, it's like using a nuke to destroy a single building, scale is too large. Because of it's scale, there's too much limitations. It can't be used in dungeons, caves, buildings, or anywhere with a lot of people. 2.) It requires too much mana for the average wizard. You could probably achieve a similar end result by combing other spells and use up less mana. 3.) It really has no practical use aside from blowing something up. When you have a limited amount of skill points to use, you'd obviously want to use it on something that could be used in different scenarios. 4.) It requires too much skill points investment. Too even use it properly you need to invest in the lowering its mana cost, lowering its chant speed and increasing its power. Main reason why Megumin keeps falling after one use is because she just puts points in chant speed and power without investing in mana efficiency.

I mean, from this episode, pretty certain your elf is supposed to be the demon king and the puzzle Megumin did actually lifted her seal. She did say the demon was her other half so \o/. Also, we have already seen her in the hotspring episode of S2.

I've been waiting for this and will 100% be watching it all. I say this as someone who totally skipped Slime Diaries😅 Konosuba is the show that really hooked me on anime and I'm psyched we're getting both this spin-off and a season 3. This spin-off is still based on light novels from the original author, so it should be quality. First episode was great! @20:10 when Megumin is staring at the other girls boobs and says "based on my personnel statistics study, there's a high likely of you becoming a powerful mage" it's a joke because she's referring to the explosion mage from the opener and associating huge boobs with powerful magic.

I think the seal breaking was literally just a way to say "hey my stomachs upset and if I don't go sit down I'm gonna make a mess" but in a crimson demon way.

Well I don't know if you know about this or not But in Japan in general there a trem "eight grade syndrome or chunibyo" exit Which basically is kid being delusional and thinking that they have some powers hidden inside themselves which once awaken they can be super powerful Like a dragon sealed inside or a evil god sealed inside me This syndrome theme used in so many anime and also a lot of animes you reacted to And this syndrome is which becomes dark past for at 80 percentage of Asia kids(boys mostly) I am unaware about other continent(country) But remember this one if you didn't know previously this is a big repeated concept so many anime used
