Added 2023-03-26 00:47:37 +0000 UTCAbout Kuroko basket, I don’t any data to be confident that it’ll do well on YouTube today AND its 75 episodes. Lol. Blue Lock we did one episode a week. Replacing blue lock with Kuroko basket isn’t 1 for 1. We would have to ADD like 2 additional spots so that’s 3 uploads a week. So that’s the reason I put it off. After Mob i can consider another “long” series as I don’t want toooo many at the same time preventing us from pivots and trending videos. Id much rather bide some time with something short or a few Live Action movies during the transition to new shows hopefully.

I think it checks most of the boxes you look for (Solid story, well-animated, rare romcom with adults) and it's only 13 episodes. Kind of got overshadowed by Lycoris Recoil since they came out in the same season and were both anime originals, but I think this is up there with it in terms of quality. Just a different demographic.

As someone not big into sports, I really like watching all of your reactions from the perspective of people who have good sports knowledge and two of you actually play/played soccer. Made for some good insight that I wouldn't immediately think about on my first watch. In any event, I thought they did a really good job pacing this last episode. We knew our team was going to get washed, and they did, so we got that done with quick. The reveal of who made it was where the real emotion was though. They let us keep tabs on Team Z and some of the other people we met through the Additional Times only for a bunch of them to never be seen again because they didn't qualify. The Kunigami one was a big lesson too, I think. It shows that no matter how "important" of a character you might seem, that does not guarantee that you're going to make it. As far as I'm concerned, that puts pretty much everyone we know besides the Rins and Nagis of the facility in jeopardy. It's kind of funny since we know by definition that a lot of players are going to drop off since the goal is supposedly to narrow it down to only one winner, but you still feel like a lot of these guys will stick around for a long time. And yeah, as far as the animation talk is concerned, as far as I'm aware, it comes down to the manga art apparently (Anime-only here) just being *that* good that it's more fluid and easier to follow than the anime at times, and the fact that people are comparing it to episode 1. I'm not a huge animation stickler like some people are, but when they did a flashback to episode 1 during the Bachira backstory, even I was like "Wow, it was really good back then." I don't think the anime ever reached the quality they showed in episode 1 the rest of the series. There's also a lot of still shots where it comes across as a slideshow during games, but they do a good enough job of covering that up with those nice frames and special effects. Looking forward to coming back with the Nagi movie and S2!

Even as someone who enjoyed the anime, I can point out a number of manga chapters that are just pure hype. Looking forward to what they do for Season 2

The biggest issue that the manga readers have (including myself) is that every single scene is 1000 times harder and better in the manga. They simply didn't portrait any of the grit and life that the manga has to the anime very well
