On the surface they are the same, this is why I decided to check out Mob Psycho 100 after all. However the more you watch the more it shows how different this show is than One Punch Man. Better even.

he suppresses his emotions to supress his power. think of it as a pressure cooker. at base hes fine no boil even keeled but suppressing your emotions is essentially applying more and more pressure until the pot cant contain it anymore and the lid bursts off at insane rates of speed and velocity. thats basically whats happening. he explodes when he cant suppress his emotions (how i read the situation anyways)
