So many “smart” characters couldn’t predict Eren would do this? I don’t find Hange’s death sad. They kinda chose this outcome. I also have a hard time thinking Erwin would be okay with what Armin and co did. Zeke’s plan not looking to bad now eh? 🤭

it was stated by in season 3 part 2 in one of the last few episodes. The one where Eren and Mikasa are in the brig and eren explains titan shifters only live 13 years and Mikasa goes in denial about it. Then they meet up with historia.

i think the solution is rather obvious, just dont pass on the titans to new people. then it really doesnt matter if you're an eldian or not.

As a black man myself I get that part. I just don’t think it applies to Eldian and applies to Marley who were oppressed. They just did it back first chance they got. I’m not saying either is right or wrong here.

The opening scene reminds me of a great quote by Richard Price. "The bigger the issue the smaller you write. Remember that. You don't write about the horrors of war. No. You write about a kid's burnt socks lying on the road. You pick the smallest manageable part of the big thing, and you work off the resonance". That's why until this point many people sided with Eren's side. Hearing a about millions or even billions of innocent people dying is sad but hard to grasp since it feels like a statistic, especially compared to the few people on the other side we do know. That kid and the other refugees and the shots of all the other civilians really drove the point home of how truly horrifying Eren's actions are.

the main issue is that plan likely takes generations to do. so then they'd have to sacrifice their kids + historia and put them through this shit. which eren said he wouldnt do. and also eren is trying to solve a problem that cant be solved... ppl's innate hatred, fear, and desire to discriminate against eldians just bc they can turn into titans. he wants to end the cycle of hatred *forever*. if that's the problem you're trying to solve, then "well i'll just kill literally everyone else so no one can hate us" suddenly becomes an option. which yeah is pretty terrible lol but at least i can see the train of thought. i personally would have done the plan in the original comment and hoped for the best for the next generation lol

the solution is what yelena said except ignore the euthanization. destory the biggest military spots at all the major nations. you have no enemies who can do anything to you. you can establish yourself as a nation and force trade bc ppl cant stop you even if they hate you. forcefully establish yourself as a nation that doesnt rely on titan powers. eventually tensions will die down across generations. not to the point of no hatred, but at least to the point of no active war waging (but ofc a war *could* still happen). just like how the world today is currently.
