I think that’s the real reason that Geun-soo mentioned it to Saeroyi. Not so Saeroyi could get Yi-eso to leave or at least give her the option to leave, but because Geun-soo saw how Saeroyi looked at Yi-seo in the huddle before their first day and wanted to shut it down. Guen-soo knows that he has no chance against Saeroyi!

Also Saeroyi and Yi-seo’s conversation reminded me a lot of Saeroyi and Soo-ah when they were by the lake, before he got her number. This time, though, Saeroyi is being selfish. When Geun-sol told him, Saeroyi could have 1) let Yi-Seo manage part-time and still go to classes…but then she might leave after she graduates for a better opportunity. 2) asked her to only stay a couple of years, before returning to college, which would provide her with more choices…but then she would definitely leave. Instead, he said nothing and in-case she is second-guessing her choice, Saeroyi is essentially convinces her to stay for the long-haul by saying “maybe Danbam could grow into a large firm”. When in actuality, “Maybe” can mean years, decades, or never. And saying “I have you” is like saying, “you and me.” Saeroyi never says “we” or mentions anyone else on the Danbam team. It’s more like a couple in a relationship than a team building a business.

I never trusted that Soo-ah’s kiss was sincere after she said “too brightly.” I thought that it was killing two birds and one stone. 1 to block Yi-Seo from Saeroyi and 2 she could use the kiss against Saeroyi by saying she didn’t remember it or he took advantage of her while she was drunk, like assault or something to help Janga Co. Yi-Seo did the right thing blocking it.
