2023-12-16 08:46:03 +0000 UTCOh also, the guy being threatened with the axe outside of westruun was a voice over cameo by none other than the legendary Christopher Sabat. Yes, THAT Chris Sabat. Vegeta.

2023-02-08 19:59:18 +0000 UTCYeah, Syldor is a complex character. Like, he's racist because of the society he grew up in. But he's also actively trying to fight his internalized prejudices. So he's still a shit, but less shitty than others and is trying to be less of a shit.

2023-02-05 20:36:34 +0000 UTCIt pretty much never comes up, but part of Grog's backstory was that he was a boot maker, and another member of the herd has said that Grog was the runt of the litter. My theory is that Grog was too little to go raiding with the herd, and would be left back at camp relegated to making boots for the rest of the herd. Wanting to be accepted, he trained like hell, obsessed with the notion to become strong. When he finally proved himself to be a warrior, he was allowed to join in on the raids, and came across Wilhand in one of those raids (happened a little differently in the campaign, so I'm fitting it into the canon of the show). Another fun fact about Grog is that he absolutely loves little folk, like gnomes and halflings. He was ecstatic to meet Pike's distant family members (literally screamed "GNOMES!!!" while running towards them), Kima was his favorite person outside the party, etc. My theory is that this was the first time he saw a gnome, and was struck by how small and defenseless that Wilhand was, and it sparked a desire to protect rather than kill.

2023-02-05 19:04:21 +0000 UTCGoing to be that guy today: Superman: The Movie never talks about the S on his chest being “hope”. That was Superman: Man of Steel 35 years later. Don’t go watch Superman: The movie and expect anything about that S being Hope. Otherwise great reaction.

2023-02-05 18:21:17 +0000 UTCYou guys talking about the meaning of Superman's S symbol, I remember the best and fullest explanation I've ever heard, though now I can't remember the origin. *The symbol for the house of El represents hope, the serpent of deceit forever trapped in the unbreakable diamond of truth. This is what it means to be an El, an unbreakable dedication to the truth and using it to bring hope to the world.*

2023-02-05 18:01:47 +0000 UTCThat was indeed Pike, but Pike's hair turned from jet black to white because of something that happened earlier in the campaign. I don't know if the show's going to address it in a flashback in the future, so I don't want to spoil it.
