The designs are unique af and the story is it's own thing and doesn't just take the beats from every other fucking anime (like all Isekais, lol)

I would NOT call this show one of my favorites, (not my cup of tea) but it's definitely a must watch for a complete "well rounded" anime education

2022-10-01 19:28:53 +0000 UTCYa riko has this bad habit of blindly adventuring into horrible situations. shes so optimistic and curious and it just ends badly. I think i had a similar reaction the first time i saw this episode. it SOOO graphic and brutal and like director was saying, they had been in little tough situations, but this is when you really realise how screwed they are. I think part of the reason riko is so carefree though is because the abyss seems to draw people into it through some undefined power i think. So partially , its not her fault. its what makes having reg with her so important because he isnt affected at all. Oh and p.s. the poison wasnt actually expelled, that was riko halucinating.
