Clearly abusive and forcing things onto Billy. Nah, he aint right in any way. What he was doing wasn't discipline, it was abuse and look how Billy has turned out because of it.

The wife was very uncomfortable, i think she even tried to speak up for Billy. Side note; my dad beat me up too for doing “wrong”. I get it. I just don’t agree with my father’s tough love

He may have grown up rough, but I feel like after everyone watched this little scene, people feel like his behaviour becomes justified,, his racism and bullying. But I don’t think it is.

2022-08-30 23:38:16 +0000 UTCYes if guess it’s different in parts of the world. I’m of Samoan descent and we get beat up a lot for doing wrong. But we also know that it benefits us. Not sure if you’ve met many Samoans but we built quite durable, mentally and physically.

I get it if you wanna be a little physical to get the point across to your kid, i.e. spanking, but to punch him across the face?

He’s pinning his wifes/married responsibilities to his son while abusing him. It’s the father’s responsibility if anything. It’s the mother’s responsibility if anything. Billy is 3rd in order. They ginna stay home as Billy goes.

His dad maybe an asshole but his message is actually right. I got my ass beat like this all the time and looking back now, I agree with everythjng. Of course, not including the words he used.

Haven’t watched anything else since until I heard some hype about season 4 and was like “eh alright” then you guys react to it and with every reaction to it I’m like “I should probably rewatch season 1 and continue the show and see there reactions as well lol. Now that I’ve caught up to S2 episode 8 I can’t wait to see how this show goes! It’s amazing so far imo
