2023-01-25 02:38:59 +0000 UTCMany arrancars had decades or centuries fighting as hollows but not with soul reaper powers. Likely the more humanoid hollows were better equipped when they transitioned to arrancars.

2022-08-11 02:14:04 +0000 UTCWhen they say levels it means spiritual pressure, after all, there is no other obvious means they could scale power in bleach. Like Naruto, having more chakra doesn't automatically make you the stronger shinobi, in bleach having high spiritual pressure without control would still make you weak. This was Ichigo's problem way early in the show. He had a lot of spiritual pressure but no control. The good thing about bleach that you may or may not appreciate is that battle experience, compatibility, and other factors play into who wins each battle. Unlike say DBZ, where the higher Ki/chi always wins. Rukia may have the lesser SP but she had more battle experience and techniques. This will be a recurring theme in this show and in this arc. Battle experience and skills vs raw talent/strength. BTW arrancars can still be considered infants compared to Soul reapers as most of them have just been created by Aizen unlike Soul reapers who have a deep tradition of fighting stretching thousands of years.
