this is a really good anime but it isnt for everyone, its basically world of tanks but animefied and with girls controlling tanks. it takes at least 3 episodes to hook you, maybe more if not a fan of the content

I think if you just left out the reference of "this show seems to have a lot of fan service" in your original caption, it wouldn't have been confusing to those like me. As I mentioned, GuP just isn't that type of show. But if you don't vibe with the general character designs for whatever reason and you want to avoid further recommendations of similar type shows, then I can fully understand that. Apologies...I didn't intend for this to be a big deal. I was just genuinely confused about the fan service comment given Koneko from DxD is a thing.

2022-08-02 17:10:13 +0000 UTCOK so that was my 1st reaction when I 1st came on here now that I actually had a chance to watch your reactions Lee I can understand where you're coming from this really isn't anything like you guys have watched before it's basically a sports anime with tournaments against other schools just with tanks I also can see where you're coming from with the character designs I mean being that they're posed to be 1st years in high school they definitely do look younger I really do wish you would at least give it another Episode or 2 because I do have to say that is probably one of the best anime that I've watched but when it comes down to it it is your decision I will stand by whatever you decide because in all honesty it won't take away from the fact that I like it

But the war aspect is something i dont like, so that why the show is so great. "und" is German for "and", "Panzer" can mean both "Tank" and or "Shell" as in a tortoise shell. For armor in German, "Rüstung" is the more common word. I wold love for you to continue the show, or at least Episode 2. So you can see a match.

But in the way of traditional fan service, it's really far and few between. The show is really about girls operating tanks with action set pieces that are some of the best you'll find in anime. I can think of one scene of fan service that would be coming up and then it's basically just getting to know the characters and tank battle action. So while I can understand why you say the type of fan service is not for you (based on the character designs - btw Highschool DxD characters are not college girls...it's in the title lmao), it's such an infinitesimal aspect that I think it's a disservice to you to miss out on some epic and wacky animated tank battles. So if you're okay with Highschool DxD fan service that includes plenty of Koneko fan service (a similar type of character design as Girls and Panzer), then you really don't have anything to worry about. As Girls and Panzer doesn't even remotely come close. Frankly, I was confused about why fan service was even brought up as I really couldn't recall anything from the first episode that would qualify as such.

2022-08-01 22:51:17 +0000 UTCI think it's one of those shows that was a big hit everywhere else but the US, main reason (imo) being cuz it's in german AND the english dub sucks, let's be honest, most americans aren't used to reading subtitles, the way to go with this show is german audio with english subs and since you guys are used to subs cuz of watching anime it wouldn't be an issue.
