2022-03-14 09:13:52 +0000 UTCI think of Bosse and Miranjo’s relationship as deeper than like lovers. Bosse for his reasons wanted to be the strongest. As he was reaching to that point, he didn’t truly think about who he hurt along the way if they put up a challenge towards him. Whether it be a official duel or a bad dispute gone wrong, Miranjo’s dad and Bosse fought to the death. This was probably the first time Bosse got sympathy from a love one of the people he killed which was Miranjo’s mother. He stayed around their life to make up for his actions to watch over Miranjo and her mother. Only to come back one day and to find Miranjo in even more such pain and suffering than he could have ever done must have truly hurt Bosse. He wanted to end this poor girls suffering after taking vengeance on the town, but no. He decided that he will take it upon himself to make her life happy from that day forward, taking her in and caring for her. In time or even before that, he loved this girl like family. But as she grew older it seemed like she changed. She lost her innocence of the world around her. Bosse likely told Miranjo of his dream to be the strongest and Miranjo took it upon herself to get his dream to come true. Advising him to way he might have never knew like with the demon, having wives and children help in his ambition. Bosse to me has always been confused soul but I believe he was a deep kindred soul. Once he started doing these things for his ambition he regretted it immediately. From watching Miranjo’s life I think he learned selflessness and the want to bring happiness to those around him. But time passed, he was trying to make the best for the newest loved ones in his life and slowly forgot to bring Miranjo’s happiness. At that point he was too invested from his ambitions to do what Miranjo truly desired and then he died. Miranjo did all of this for Bosse because she loved him so much for trying to bring her happiness and just wanted the same for Bosse. Bosse’s guilt lies with him enjoying the happiness she strived so hard to give him and he didn’t feel like he gave her the same. That explains once he heard about Miranjo’s plan he didn’t fight it, he took it upon himself to make that dream of her comes true. This relationship is truly the pinnacle of love beyond lovers. Sorry if this is long, I just don’t want people to demoralize this relationship because of confusion. This is honestly one of the top anime relationship to me.

I think it's what you said. She grew to love him (romantically) because of all he did for her but he didn't love her in that way.

I was under the impression that Miranjo developed romantic feelings for King Bosse as she grew older, but I'm unsure if Bosse reciprocated the same romantic feelings. I was under the impression he viewed her like her daughter (or something along those line) considering he told Bebin that she was a mother, child and teacher to him, so I assumed with that line he was implying it was platonic, but the Despa said something about a star crossed affair, which threw me off. I always felt that Bosse felt obligated to Miranjo due to guilt (him killing her dad, mutilated by the Villagers, her mother's death) while her dependency to Bosse was one of obsession which eventually led to her going down a bad path. I Would def appreciate the insight from others if possible.
