I understand that, but the fact is that the rest of the world has been explained to us that they despise Eldians to an even worse degree than Marley because of how they were used to fight wars (and the RUMBLING, something that the world has believed the "devils" would unleash, is happening). Armin's 50-year plan solves nothing because the "devils" are would have destroyed the global alliance, making the world want to kill them. When the options are either to lay down and die or protect your people from being marginalized and eradicated, ensuring the safety of your people sounds like a pretty reasonable decision.

This is the problem with the way the show is ending. By all accounts what Eren has done, there is no coming back from that. By the time they catch up to him he’ll have devastated so many areas stopping him would do them no good. No descendants of the ones who were slaughtered by Eren will allow Eldians to live even if they stop him.

It was stated multiple times if the rumble is ended they will be destroyed by the rest of the world because they are a perceived threat same as before in season 1 and tech advanced. If the rumbling succeeds issues will still exist but the people of paradise wouldn't die out. The real life parallel would be a nuke in ww2 which was monstrous but ended a war. Instead we are attacked with the authors moral righteousness in a work of fiction that is supposed to be all grey areas which is not the case clearly.

A potential conflict that may or may not happen is preferable to an actual genocide currently being performed. What-if scenarios like this are exactly what led to this outcome in the first place. Marley did that when they sent the Warriors to retake the Founder. And now look what happened. This has so many real world parallels it is not even funny. They literally went over this shit last episode. This cycle needs yo end. And it won't get better after the Rumbling.

Not gonna lie. My feelings are tainted by people in the comments section. I didn’t know Bertholdt and Reiner would have a reasonable back story. I rejoiced he died. Comments attacked me (because they read the manga) to me he was the dude that killed Erens mother and so many others. The fandom basically denied me the natural progression. So i now i see I’m “supposed “ to like him. But i got too much resentment. Reiner I naturally have come to like because i had the opportunity to allow my feelings to go with the flow on that character. (Annie was already forgiven. She can step on me in her titan form anyways ) So i do not like Bertholdt lol

I hear you, he was sent on a infiltration mission so by jump he, Annie/Reiner/Bert were more "fake". But I found it super interesting to see how we all hated on Bert when he said "someone has to do it", we were all like that's cap your evil thats why you did what you did. Now we see it come full circle with Connie also having to kill his friends to save the world.

Samuel was definitely conflicted, but there was something he said to Connie that makes me think he drank Floch's imperialistic Kool-Aid. I also think out of all the Yeagerist Samuel and Daz didn't need to die, and they could have restrained them.
