Mirror selfie 🪞

Hello, dear friends.

I’m in the midst of preparing for our upcoming trip, on June 1st, we’re heading to Iceland for another project.

I’m feeling a bit anxious, as both my mental and physical state have been somewhat fragile lately, affected by a number of things.

Recently, we were reminded of just how powerful, and even destructive, a person’s negative energy can be. It led us to an important realization: pay attention to how you feel and how you act when you’re around someone. And if you don’t like the version of yourself that shows up in their presence, that’s probably not the person you need in your life. Just a little note from me to you.

It’s truly fascinating (and a bit scary) how deeply emotional states impact the physical body. I’ve seen this firsthand, from a single moment of emotional stress, there’s a cascade of physical responses that follow. Even my Oura Ring, which tracks stress, has been showing levels higher than I’ve ever seen since I started wearing it 🙈

So, here’s what I’m learning: calmness is the foundation of a healthy and fulfilling life. Simple as that.

And I truly hope I can return to my previous state of inner peace —because now, having seen the contrast, I realize how draining it is to live in a constant state of stress and chaos. It’s not really living… it’s surviving on autopilot.

Sometimes, the most radical thing we can do is simply stop. Breathe. Choose stillness.

Wishing you a beautiful day, and sending love wherever you are.

💛

Absolutely, Jeff, that’s so well said 💙 The energy around us really does shape our inner state. I’ve recently been learning how deeply the body reacts to the emotional atmosphere we’re in. Choosing peace, calm, and joy isn’t always easy, but it’s essential. Thank you for this beautiful reminder 🙏✨

Thank you so much for sharing that, Paul! 💛 I completely agree our brain chemistry truly touches every part of our life. If you’re interested in this topic, I really recommend watching the documentary film “Source”. It beautifully explores how our mental and emotional states instantly affect our physical health —based on the latest research. It’s a powerful reminder of how connected everything truly is

One thing I learned from listening to a couple of what I think are the best podcasts by Candice’s Horbacz’s illustrated the brain’s chemistry and how it can does affect every aspect of our lives, from the moment we wake up in the morning until we close our eyes at night.
