Six years of audios - thank you.

Hey gang! It's celebration time - this month marks 6 years of the audio channel on YouTube. Six years of vampire roommates and medusas and tiefling girlfriends and wacky collabs and so, so many comfort audios. Since September 30, 2019, I've been writing and recording scripts that I hope you'll enjoy (more than 800 of them now!), and all of you reading this are here because you actually do enjoy them. That's honestly amazing.

A lot has happened in 6 years. We dealt with Covid, we went through some major world changes, and we continue to endure. There have been ups and downs, but the best part for me is the community that we've built together. It's a community of care, support, humor and joy, and in this day and age, that means a lot. I can't tell you how much I value this little corner of the internet, and none of it would exist without you. It's beautiful and humbling and I am always blown away when I think about it.

I've been reflecting on some of the things I really love about this community, and it's hard to narrow it down: watching the Star Wars Holiday Special with you every December on Discord (we love to hate that thing), doing fundraisers for some amazing causes (that Heifer International one was particularly amazing), trying weird foods for Foreign Food Friday, streaming over on Twitch so we can hang out in real time, testing recipes for the charity cookbook, playing Dashcam Bingo and watching Border Security together, working directly with you to come up with great audio ideas - there are so many things that I appreciate. These are the memories that make me smile when life gets a little too life-y. No matter what else happens, we have this, right here, in this space. We have us, a ragtag group of people with big hearts who love a good story. I can't thank you enough for being a part of it.

This month, I have a couple of fun things coming. In addition to my usual ramble, there will be another patron-only audio in which I share some insights and perspectives on the past 6 years of trying to carve out a chunk of YouTube. I also have a very, very special public audio coming for the anniversary at the end of the month, and I think you're going to LOVE it. I hope so, anyway! Finally, I will probably do a special anniversary stream, because why not? Maybe we'll even play some bingo.

Thank you, you amazing people, for being here and for helping me make the creative things that I love. It means more than I can say that you love them, too. Here's to another six years - maybe even more big things will be in store! Either way, I'm incredibly blessed, lucky, and grateful.
