Watched Mickey 17 last night — and I’m still processing. It’s not just a movie, it’s sharp satire wrapped in sci-fi, visual pleasure, and deep philosophical layers. What surprises me most is how many people in the comments across different sites totally missed the point.
It’s a brilliant metaphor! Society, identity, sacrifice, blind trust, systems, repeated mistakes… It’s all right there, plain and powerful.
And if you want a visual metaphor for how blindly I used to trust people — just look at Mickey and his friend. That was me. These days, I’m learning to see people without rose-colored glasses.
Highly recommend it. Unconventional, multi-layered, visually stunning — and it makes you think. And if it didn’t… maybe you’re just one tab of LSD short. Haha.
Directed by the same genius who made Parasite — and you can absolutely feel it: the sharpness, the satire, the absurdity in every frame. What amused me most was how they flipped sexism by simply switching the roles of men and women — it was clever, ironic, and spot-on. And the way they addressed animal testing… subtle yet brutal. All our “progress” stands on the backs of those who couldn’t fight back.
