2025-01-15 19:37:45 +0000 UTCI upload most of my patreon content as youtube links for a few reasons. First, the youtube audience votes every month for one of those audios to go public, so once they vote, I can just switch the audio to public without having to render and upload the projects at varying times (the render can often take an hour or more, so it's easier to just plan it in advance and put everything on the main platform). Second, it makes it easier to aggregate the audios into the master list at the top of the page if they all have their own links out to youtube. Whatever I can do to make things easier for the patrons, I'll do that. Third, the unlisted audios are also provided to the channel members each week, not just the patrons. If they were exclusively hosted here, channel members wouldn't be able to access them. Last, it makes it easier for me to track metrics. Even for unlisted audios, youtube provides analytics so I can see what the patrons in particular seem to enjoy the most out of the patron-exclusive audios.

2025-01-15 04:09:19 +0000 UTCThanks for the ramble Ree! I have one random sidenote question lol, is there a particular reason why you upload most of your Patreon content as a YouTube linked video and not as a housed audio on the Patreon site/app like the way you upload rambles? I don't mind either way just curious. Also, Rope is such a great film! Kudos on dropping that one as a great example of a story that builds tension well!
