There could be a million reasons why Twitch has gone downhill - I haven't seen any news about payment issues, and it isn't terribly responsible to speculate about tech issues without proof. It could be something as simple as my content not being as interesting as other people's content. Rest assured that I'm doing my best to rectify it by testing and trying various things, including the ReeCasts and hype alerts and even the patron pick games, but in the end, there may be little to nothing to be done. Tastes change, interests change, and the streaming market is notoriously changeable. I just wanted to make sure you all had the information.

2023-09-19 09:13:38 +0000 UTCThe only other thing that pops into my mind is how Patreon had a "hiccup" where they accidentally cancelled a number of patron subscriptions due to a bug in their membership update/payment systems. I wouldn't put a similar "hiccup" past Twitch either. But I'm kinda shooting in the dark here, without night vision - just throwing potential alternative causes out there.

My numbers have never seemed to track with school schedules, probably in part because the time of day I stream is evening/night in the US, when school isn't in session. Also, I don't have many viewers that young - university age, sure, but those are even less likely to be impacted by daytime school schedules.
