2023-02-14 17:33:06 +0000 UTCIn the U.S., we like to pretend that we value freedom and are willing to fight to maintain our freedoms. In some ways it is true, but in many ways it is not. I don't think U.S. citizens value it any more than citizens of other countries. Art itself is subjective. I struggle with this myself when I label my own work "artistic nudes". Just because I believe it is artistic, doesn't mean others will, and vice versa. The same is true of labeling something "pornography". It is a subjective measure, and for this reason, I don't believe we should allow artistic nudity and ban pornography. What gives one group of people the authority to decide what another group can or cannot see? I believe that censorship in all its forms is wrong. Instead, I feel we should leave it up to the viewer to decide what they want to see or not see. I think it is valid to say that children are not capable of understanding the potential harm, and therefore should be protected from witnessing certain things. But I disagree with the notion that that means EVERYONE should be forbidden from seeing it. Otherwise you are asserting that adults can only enjoy things that are also appropriate for children. There are other ways to protect minors than censoring anything that isn't appropriate for them. I'm curious to hear other opinions on the matter.

It's too bad. The human body is what it is. Why do have to label specific parts as inappropriate? Honestly, the lines and curves, especially of the female form, are simply nature, beauty in pure bliss. Thank you for sharing your talents, art, and time with us. These are wonderful!

We're home to some of the most sexually conservative people in the civilized world, and some of the most sexually liberated. On an average basis, it's a coin toss as to which side someone will fall on.
