A funny admission I have is that Frieren ended up winning in a poll on another channel I watch against the show I wanted to watch and funnily enough I can't even remember what that show was now. I hadn't even heard of Frieren at that time so I decided to watch the first episode almost of spite to see what it was that beat the show I voted for and I bawled my eyes out at the first episode and watched the 8 episodes that had released before I even went to bed lol. It is now in my top 3 anime for sure and I'm so glad I gave it a try
