Mental Health & Filming

Hi My Darlings,

as some of you know who have been around a while. I had a big shock with the police showing up at my door back in April in relation to me being sexually abused in my teens. Something that I had buried for 15 years. It hit me very hard and as a result I am starting therapy tonight for the first time ever to try and find some healthy ways of addressing my trauma.

I've also made the consecutive decision to go back onto Sertaline (Zoloft) because my anxiety has been intense but I've also been hyper-emotional both in terms of being sensitive to criticism which is making creating content hard but also crying over small things. I'm taking steps to benefit my mental health so that I can continue to be present and make the content you know and love. As an additional I also cracked my tooth which may need to be removed tomorrow but I'll know more when I see the Dentist.

All of this is to say that there could be a delay for both Patreon and YT for a week whilst I adjust to my medication. I may find that there's no issues but from previous experience Sertraline always knocks me sick with bouts of insomnia. I'm hoping that's not the case this weekend but if so it may impact my ability to film alongside the potential pain from having my tooth removed.

Again - I'm all about transparency. When something happens I will also let you know because it's the least you deserve for supporting my content and for supporting me. Life isn't easy nor is it pretty. I work myself to the bone to be consistent and on time whilst balancing some very intense IRL issues and a full-time job. If I do find myself needing to take this break then I ask you to be kind and mindful. It's not a choice I make lightly due to the knock on effect it has in terms of pressure on me and delaying content for you.

I may not have an issue filming this weekend but I wanted to let you all know nonetheless what is ongoing in my life and to thank you all for how kind and considerate you've all been. I am truly blessed to have you all in my life and eternally grateful that I made the choice to join YT.

As an additional reminder - mental health is so important and please reach out if you need to speak to someone. It's not something that should be bottled up or ignored. It's just as valuable as your physical health. Whilst we don't celebrate Men's Mental Health in the UK until November, I know it's different and celebrated right now in America, so for any men that support my content please value your well being and know that it's okay to reach out for help and to be vulnerable. It doesn't make you less of a man. It doesn't make you weak. You are important, loved and valued, and the world would be less special without you in it.
