Hi Cuties!!

I've always been big on inclusion so this is a step I've wanted to take for a while but it's been a lot of playing around to find software that I felt worked for me

BUT

English subtitles of ME will be coming to all future videos to make it easier for both viewers whose first language isn't English and for viewers who have a hearing impairment so you can follow along with what I'm saying. I want to make the experience more enjoyable and accessible to all!

I can't guarantee which episode they will start cropping up in as I'm currently test running but it may be sooner rather than later at least. I would look into doing translations but truthfully I don't have the screen space to be adding numerous subtitled captions for every language especially considering how diverse my audience is!

I'm hoping the English subtitles will suffice and will make my content easier to consume as I know my accent can be a little hard to understand at times especially when I talk fast!

They may not be in tomorrow's episode due to time constraints as I have to edit it tomorrow alongside YT but it may be on Saturday's episode!

Yeah! I just want to be inclusive for people as much as possible including those who may have a hearing disability too!

Aw thank you so much!!

I'm a viewer from China, and one of the reasons I follow you is because of your accent — it's clear, pleasant, and really easy to understand. It makes watching your content so enjoyable!

可臻 刘

French viewer here ! I don't really need it I think my english comprehension is good enough, but it's great to see you thinking about us non english speakers thank you very much for that !

FrostyFubuki

as someone who doesn't live in an english speaking country, i genuinely dont find your accent hard to understand, but thank u for being so thoughtful<3

Abdullah Al-bogami

This is such a kind thoughtful thing to add for the community <3 Even If I don't really need it all the time it is always lovely to see.

Midnight_Kitty

Haha well we're from the UK so that's why! But I've a large audience from Japan and South America where English wouldn't be their first language so it's just about accessibility. Some people may gain no benefit from it and others might. I just prefer to have something accurate over YT auto transcribe which is awful :')

Dr Sophie Darling Reacts

As someone from south of the UK your accent just sounds normal to me so i honestly never thought about it xD but it is nice for those who might struggle.

Triton

Yeah! Plus if I react to FMAB in DUB the auto transcribe on YT is gonna get confused between me and the show so at least I can separate them!!

Dr Sophie Darling Reacts

not something I'd need but it's awesome you include it for those who do, especially with the shows you react to being subtitled themselves that should make them fully acessible visual only

HAL

Absolutely!! Auto captions on YT are horrendous so having something I can control and ensure is accurate is huge!!

Dr Sophie Darling Reacts

This is amazing, honestly I understand English but being able to skim what is being said as well makes a huge difference in me understanding. I can’t imagine how helpful it will be for people who are heard of hearing or are not fluent in English.

My Toasty Toast

It is quite interesting to see! It takes a bit longer as I have to correct some stuff but still a great opportunity to pave the way for inclusivity!

Dr Sophie Darling Reacts

It's funny how few creators realize the value of this beyond accessibility (which is already important enough). For example, I sometimes watch reaction channels from China or Germany and so long as the creator subtitled themselves youtube can auto translate the subs. I'm interested to see how it effects the reach of your content globally ^_^

Anna Kyruin

Sounds great!

Winter

I also have subtitles for everything haha!! I wanted to trial some free software before forking out for an upgrade on Davinci because it's nearly $300 which is a LOT of money. So going to see how this goes otherwise I may have to bite the bullet haha!

Dr Sophie Darling Reacts

That's really great, thanks! I don't have a hearing impairment & English is my first language - but I seem to have some sort of neurological processing delay when I'm watching anything with audio only (I have a couple of friends who are the same), so I always have subtitles on everything. This will be a massive help, thanks a lot!
