Uncut AOT 4 x 14

I held it together which I'm very proud of.

Floch fans - don't hate me. It's just my opinion and in this world we're not always going to agree with each other. That's okay. We can be respectful nonetheless to counter opinions that don't align with our own especially in relation to a show like AOT.

Unless it involves advocating for the removal of people's access to human rights because then it's no longer an opinion but an affront to all things decent in humanity.

Dehumanizing innocent civilians is the starting point towards fascism. You are exactly right.

I'm with you, I don't really like Floch, though I respect him cause man, he does give his everything for what he believes is right and even if I do not agree w him I respect that, also I love Eren but I don't like the jeagerists and just like you whenever they scream the "Shinzō wo sasageyo" it makes me mad, like they have not win the right for using that phrase (maybe Floch has because he did survive the battle on shiganshina but only he).

Moral of the story for season 4 episode 14: Drink tea over wine! ☕️😉

Absolutely fascinating analysis, as always. Just want to mention a couple of points that really caught my attention: 1. "Is Eren truly free?" I think this is one of the most fascinating questions in the show. We know that Eren is obsessed with the pursue of freedom, he is (in Kenny's words) a slave of freedom in a sense. Very excited to hear your opinion on this topic as the show keeps progressing. 2. "I'm not saying that Floch is a fascist" (I may be misquoting you here, it was a long analysis 😅). Well, then I will say it: Floch is a fascist; that has been very clear from his actions in S4, and I really hate him. The main reason I hate him so much is because, at times of uncertainty, it is precisely people like Floch that rises to power, which is truly disturbing. A fantastically well written character, I still hate him with all my guts.

Floch is undoubtedly one of the most polarizing characters in the series at the moment, so it was quite intriguing to hear your thoughts on him. I had a lively, though intense yet amicable discussion with some friends regarding Floch. They are supporters of Floch, viewing him as someone who actively backs Eren and the people of Paradis. On the other hand, I was quite upset with his disobedience and aligned myself with Hange, believing that opting for war might not be the rescue they believe it to be. At one point, they made however a statement that I completely agree with: “Floch expresses opinions that make him seem like a total jerk, but they resonate with many as he challenges the system and speaks his truth. He’s portrayed as a villain by everyone who disagrees, even though there’s some hidden logic to his views.” They coined the term “flogic,” which, if it’s not already in common use, definitely should be. And that’s the essence of Floch. He consistently represents the most extreme perspective in a divisive discussion. He never occupies the middle ground. If he aligns with your views, he’s fantastic 👏. If he doesn’t, he becomes the number one enemy. 😈 Floch is one of the most well written characters in the show that started off as a side character and became a major character with crucial importance to the storyline.

36:00 lol *see’s about 22 seconds of Zeke backstory * Sophie: “am I going to cry for Zeke?” 🥹 You are so sweet lol this is the same energy you had for Bertoldt and I love it. Everyone has a reason, everyone has scars, and reprehensible actions can be committed by people who are not reprehensible themselves. Zeke is still a mass murder, on a grand level, but he is also human. Just like everyone else….well technically he is Eldian but the points still stands! Lol

I love how Season 4 creates political divides among fans.. which just points to the strength of the story writing. AoT portrays truths about human and societal behavior in such a realistic manner that the tensions on Paradis Island are echoed in how we the audience respond. 🙌

53:00 they're already in an ethnonationalist conflict at this point, there is no need ot spiral into one anymore

zeke being surprised by how easily levi can kill his comrades is kinda like marleys reliance on titans they forced paradis to defend against titans for 100 years while relying on titans as a weapon and now they're surprised that paradis got good at fighting titans and zeke and marly more or less directly forced levi to sacrifice his comrades again and again and now he's surprised how easily levi can do that
