Added 2025-01-22 16:06:47 +0000 UTCYes - this is a duplicate of yesterday's so don't get too excited hehe! But I just wanted to test the Patreon video feature that I now have access too which means I can directly upload videos instead of through Google Drive!!
For whatever reason Patreon marked me as an NSFW account? Which meant I lost access to so many features but they removed it after contacting them.
So I just wanted to see if this was perhaps better than Google Drive?! If so then I'll leave this up and remove the other and keep uploading videos directly to Patreon!

Also it's not going to be issue for a while, but Patreon video capacity is limited by the total duration. I think it was like 100 hours of content. Not sure if you'll need to start removing older videos when you reach that limit.

2025-01-22 21:12:09 +0000 UTCOooh, I just tried limiting my bandwidth and it turns out there are multiple qualities available! They still don't appear to be accessible to the user, but at 3G speeds the video was an appropriately blurry mess.

2025-01-22 18:33:40 +0000 UTCGoogle Drive might indeed work better in some cases, and also there's this copyright danger which might actually force you to do timestamps insted of uncut original video, but it is what it is, and hey, it's working for me as of now, so no complains at all.

I prefer it because I don't need to open the link to view the video on another tap. The playback seem pretty smooth imo, I also really like the picture-in-picture option on this player

I actually think this is 100% better than Google Drive solely for the fact that there won't be an issues regarding 'playtime exceeded' which is what reoccurs time and time again due to the amount of people trying to watch. Not to mention how Google Drive sometimes takes HOURS to even render a video which often messes with my schedule :/ This is quicker and accessible.

OR.... it might mean that the GOVERNMENT is trying to silence you so you've edited some parts off from the original video (google drive) into this new reupload, hidden under the guise of "testing out Patreon upload" Much to think and much to theory-craft. Subscribe to my non-existent Patreon for early access.

2025-01-22 16:51:08 +0000 UTCLooks good! I'm watching on a desktop so I don't know how mobile fares, but the only difference I can see is that there doesn't seem to be a way to set quality. I'm not sure if that's because there's only one quality available or if switching is handled automatically, but hopefully that's not an issue for anyone with a slower or metered connection.
