Hi Darlings!
Added 2025-01-06 18:37:15 +0000 UTCI'm going to ask for some patience this week as I build up my backlog again. Taking a week off at Christmas completely depleted it as I rushed out like 4 episodes of AOT plus the technical issues I had put me behind on Death Note too.
I'm hoping to spend this week filming as much of Death Note and AOT as I can in 1 sitting to build up my backlog and that will create more consistency on a week to week basis. However, I do have to edit the intros and outros as I ramble and that's not fun to watch [unless you want to see the millennial pauses and me stuttering over my words trying to make it all make sense?] so that does take time too.
What you should be able to expect is
2 x Death Note
2 x AOT
2 x Frieren
on a weekly basis.
Some have said that they are happy with 1 episode per show per week so do let me know in the comments if that would be more preferable for you to keep with content as I know 6 videos weekly can be quite overwhelming.
I'm just conscious of making sure that I provide enough to justify your support of my content. It's a tricky balance for sure. I'm grateful to you all for choosing to support me via Patreon and just don't want to feel like I'm letting anyone down or misleading anyone by not providing enough content.
AOT No Regrets Part 1 & 2 should be out this week. It's 2 hours so editing is taking a little while.
I'm out of footage for all series at the moment so need to film Death Note tomorrow and AOT on Wednesday so I can start putting stuff together for you all!
But yes - just playing catch up this week as best I can!
Sorry if these posts are annoying I just like to let you all know what's happening with content rather than wondering 'what the hell is happening' haha!
Love you all!
Sophie

Oh really?! Here's me thinking people are uploading like 6 videos a week! Maybe 1 video per week might work. Maybe even for Frieren and then gives me more time to focus on the other 2. I'll definitely be cutting down to 1 series at a time I think come the end of Death Note but at least I'll have Frieren finished by then and ready to go!

2025-01-07 14:29:15 +0000 UTCI am 100% okay with only one episode per show per week. It gives you time to record in advance and lets you take breaks when you've already recorded some episodes. Usually, reactors do it that way and only do double episodes when the episodes are related or flow better when watched together. It also helps viewers know exactly what to expect so that they aren't disappointed or confused if they're used to getting x amount of episodes per week, and then all of a sudden the uploads drop significantly. Thankfully your YouTube channel is still really new so the transition shouldn't get too many people mad about it lol.

2025-01-07 12:07:49 +0000 UTCThank you so much Kelby! Yeah the money is decent which is the only reason why I didn't turn it down. My goal is to see how sustainable content creation is for the next year or two. If I can make around the same as my yearly income then I'll be moving back to full time creation!

And dying to see your reaction and hear what your thoughts are of the OVAs. Of course there is no rush thou. Know it takes time for your awesomeness!! Btw congratulations on the job!!!! Hope it bring home the money for you, that way you can do what you really enjoy and is passionate about!

2025-01-06 23:50:37 +0000 UTCWouldn't work with YouTube and Early Access as I post 2 Death Note and 2 AOT weekly. So I want it to be fairly balanced for both series. I can reduce Frieren to 1 a week as that's more a Patreon exclusive and a backlog for Death Note finishing but for the 2 that are on YouTube I'd like to keep them on a fair schedule so that no one is missing out if that makes sense? :D

2025-01-06 23:49:08 +0000 UTChow about rotating the series on a weekly Basis? Every week 4 Episodes. 1x AOT, 1x Frieren, 2x DN. Aned next week 2x AOT, 1x Frieren, 1x DN and so on..

2025-01-06 23:41:17 +0000 UTCOhh I get you!! Yeah - my goal is to eventually earn enough to start off loading some of the work onto an editor but it will take me time to find one I can trust because I like to be VERY hands on so I find it difficult handing stuff over!

2025-01-06 20:51:23 +0000 UTCSorry I wasn't more clear, I just meant that the number of episodes you are releasing being close to equal to the days you have to record and edit them makes me nervous. Reacting is work, Editing is work, and you have a job as well. Only so much mental load before someone gets fatigue and all. Take care of yourself is all I'm really saying ^_^

2025-01-06 19:39:17 +0000 UTCThank you so much Violet! I haven't started yet but trying to ease into what a work schedule would be so doing most of my content creation at night now just to start getting into a rhythm!

2025-01-06 19:15:05 +0000 UTCSee that wouldn't necessarily work as it would be unfair to those that are here for Death Note as I do 2 Death Note and 2 AOT on YouTube so I'd want it to be fairly balanced between. Oh I won't be releasing 6 episodes of 1 series a week haha!! I'll be filming that amount but that will then be 3 weeks worth of content hence why it'll be 2 per series so that backlog is built up consistently and gives me room for breaks. 6 episodes filmed per week but only 2 per series released a week. I don't intend to edit every night as I'm going to be doing most of the bulk on the weekends which allows me to just then schedule it out through the week after I've put them all on Google Drive! I intend to spend most of my weekends editing anyway for Patreon and YouTube because that's the only days where I'll be able to stretch out the time but shall see how it all goes. I can always reduce down to 1 video per series a week if it's too much!

2025-01-06 19:13:55 +0000 UTCMaking and editing an episode per day seems pretty aggressive tbh. I think you should at a minimum choose one series to rush, and do 1 per week on the other two. But how you choose between your children I don't know XD. Even if you did 6 per week I would use that to build a backlog and not release 6 per week so you can spend the backlog to take breaks later. <3 <3

2025-01-06 19:08:56 +0000 UTCSounds good to me. Congrats on the new position btw! I don't want you to resent making content, so go at a pace you feel is reasonable for you. Thanks for the update~
