2024-12-17 02:26:11 +0000 UTCYeah, Death Note doesn't work without actually writing the name, but anyone can use it if they know how. Only the owner of the Death Note doesn't change until the current owner relinquishes the note or dies, then the next person to pick up the note will become the owner. In Raye's case Light had pre-written the causes of death and all Raye needed to do, was to fill in the names (while also remembering their faces) on separated pages of the note.

2024-12-16 22:47:08 +0000 UTCI believe you’ve misinterpreted the How To Use section. What that rule is describing is how Light used Raye Penber to kill all the FBI agents. It’s saying that even if you don’t have possession of the Death Note (like Raye Penber), if you know their face and fill in the blank space with their name, it will still take effect
