However, if you listen closely right before Annie delivers her roundhouse kick, you can hear Eren start to say 'A...,' though it’s possible he was simply making a sound.

2024-11-26 19:23:13 +0000 UTCplaying cluedo without the rules is a pretty fitting description just look back at how much the rules of this setting have changed so far noone expected humans to be able to turn into titans its like playing cluedo but you don't know if humans cna walk through walls, you don't know if humans can turn invisible and you don't know if a knife is actually a potential weapon but the butler keeps speaking in mysterious symbolism so maybe we'll figure it out along the way

I remember my son saying that he was worried about Eren around this point in the series since he was having "negative character development", lol Also, I don't know how they managed to animate that, but the pain you can see in Levi's eyes (behind his stoic expression) when he is looking at Petra's body is truly heartbreaking.

2024-11-26 11:39:47 +0000 UTCIt really shows the degree of combat skills of different characters when they build up the whole Female Titan thing to be practically unstoppable by no matter how many experienced veteran Survey Corps soldiers, and then show us how it got cornered and forced into defensive by just three of the Levi's elite squad members, and then the same is done by angry Mikasa alone, aaaand you've seen the Levi's presentation the next episode. This show is really amazing at raising complex social, ethic and moral questions, but it's hard not to see how it excels in pure action also! I was practically pissing myself with awe the first time I've seen these episodes back in 2012.

2024-11-26 10:47:48 +0000 UTCOne thing you probably missed, the reason why the Female Titan didn't immediately fight Eren back is because it's tendons were still severed from the previous fight with the Levi squad, they were unable to lift their hands and so they were just backing off trying to stall for their hands to heal.
