Just to clarify some questions you had: The FBI were there undercover, and like Naomi says, they were instructed NOT to give their IDs under any circumstance. This explains why they weren’t given fakes. You’d only give a fake if you were expecting a scenario in which they’d need to reveal themselves It was only a 1/1000 situation they couldn’t predict (the bus jacking) that made Raye give up his ID, and that was only after he deduced that Light couldn’t have been Kira since he could’ve killed the bus jacker, which is a fair deduction given the information he has Also, Kira being able to kill in ways other than a heart attack is definitely unknown info at this point. I don’t doubt that L would eventually figure this out, but up until this point he hasn’t given any indication that he knows this
