TRIGUN Episode 21 & 22 Reaction UNCUT!

Comments

I like that you guys were exploring the reason behind the yellow glasses. Vash definitely wears them as an emotional shield. The boring answer as to why they’re yellow is likely because real life shooting glasses are yellow. They supposedly filter out UV rays and assist in accuracy.

Seconded. These two next ones are definitely the highlights of the series.

I am so excited for the reaction next week! The following episode is the one I remember the most and probably my favorite in the series.

I honestly wasn't a fan of Stampede, it changed too much stuff for no reason. Primarily the source of Vash's gun, and the fact that it went from a .45 Long Colt to a .22. Also the music was just not where it needed to be, the music was a huge part of what made OG Trigun so good, and they abandoned the Western themes entirely. They also just did a weak version of the Millie/Meryl plot, journalists are the obvious choice, making them insurance agents was a much funnier twist on an old trope. And removing the gun arm was a bizarre choice. The whole thing seemed like a cheap reboot for the sake of content without respecting the original. And they didn't particularly do a better job of explaining where Vash and Knives came from, at this point in the original series you have about as much info as you're going to get on where they're from, you have the Seeds episode and these two, it's more of an intuitive thing where you figure out their origin.

Man, I love this story... I really hope you react to the reboot, Trigun Stampede, after this. I had low expectations for the reboot, but it pleasantly surprised me. Trigun Stampede explains MUCH better the lore of the creatures inside the bulbs, and of Vash and Knives, and Wolfwood, even the native creatures of the planet, as well as the true reasons for Knives' resentment (it's more loyal to the manga, as another user already said days ago). I don't know if the finale of Trigun will clarify everything for you, but I hope NO ONE denies or confirms anything about your theories in the comments before watching Trigun Stampede, because it would ruin this reboot experience, which is so worth it. (Also, the reboot's OST is absolutely marvelous.)
