TRIGUN Episode 13 & 14 Reaction UNCUT!

Comments

For what it's worth, there's very little filler going forward! There's only one more episode like these where it really doesn't move the plot forward or provide any new information related to the plot, but even that one is more like the sandsteamer episodes where it's at least getting them from point A to point B and they get caught up with something else, but unlike the sandsteamer episodes it's not a multi-parter. There's one other episode that maybe feels a little fillery, but it serves an important purpose to the plot so I wouldn't personally call it filler. Everything else will be answering questions and giving you more questions, more things to analyze, more character development, more worldbuilding, more ethical conundrums, etc.

Yeah, I had to watch out of order based on which VHS tapes I had access to. The first one I saw was the tape with episodes 11-13 on it, so it was super helpful at the time. Although it's also because there wasn't a lot of source material for them to work off of, so they were making a lot of it up as they went along because the manga was incomplete. This was an easy way to pad it out. Recap episodes are annoying, but I get why they included it. It's just extra frustrating because it's such a short series so it really doesn't need one, ESPECIALLY on rewatches. Doubly so in the modern era where we can just go on YouTube and find a highlight reel.

Thanks for the reaction!~

Yeah these episodes were pretty inconsequential, but the next ones are gonna be good

As Fumin said, this is where we get really into the lore and the cool stuff. The back half of the season is great. Thanks again for doing this show, it's a real time capsule and it's often hard to stick with it. But back in the day, this shit slapped so hard.

Recaps were just for the fans back then, this was prior to widespread home video and streaming so this was how people got to see the best of the prior episodes. I still think it's a waste of an episode, but it is what it is.

Now begins the dark and serious second half of Trigun, leaving the silly and happy first half behind.
