It’s great. I read the manga a while back. People are just too critical. Bet you they watched fairy tail and loved it.
2023-04-16 20:53:51 +0000 UTCI think another thing that makes the "Why am I hesitating?" over and over even MORE annoying, is that they already showed us why he was hesitating in Ep 1, so we the audience already have the answer. We're not wondering along with the MC, we're just waiting for him to figure out what we already know. Contrast that with Eren Yeager asking "Why am I remembering this now?" We didn't know why either so we were curious, plus it was spread out a lot more than like a million times in 3 episodes, lol.

2023-04-16 08:43:17 +0000 UTCThe pace continues to be a little too slow for me, but I am interested to see more about this island/other world. One of my issues with episode 2 was kind of fixed here, too. That being - the rules of the executioners and criminals going together to the island is dumb and inefficient. That's still true, but they basically acknowledged that. The shogun just wants the elixir and he made this dumb plan to send expendable people to look for it- including the executioners. None of them are actually going to follow the rules, they immediately started fighting each other which is what I thought should logically happen, hence why its a stupid plan by the Shogun. I thought Gabimaru's inner struggle was interesting enough, but they have been showing it already and this episode lingered on it again for a bit too long. I hope they get past this backstory stuff soon and start developing the characters in the current timeline. It's kind of like a player at D&D just talking about their backstory for an hour while everyone else is waiting to start the game.
