Lauren Ashlyn Sweeping B-Side

Hey everyone,

I've been going through all the VR footage from the most recent shoot with Lauren Ashlyn, and it seems like it's very half-and-half, in terms of what feels usable and what doesn't. On the positive side, there is one clip that is in the top tier of my favorite VR clips I've ever done, and on the negative side, a few of them (like this one) didn't really work out as intended. I suppose this is to be expected to some degree, but it's still disappointing. I do feel like I am slowly learning from these failures, in terms of what I must account for with this camera, I just wish it didn't have to come at the cost of so much trial and error lol.

The main problem with this clip is the splitting is really bad. I was worried she might knock it over, which is why I opted to put it on the floor, but I think it would have worked out better had I not done that. To an extent, you always have to decide if you want the splitting where you are looking up or where you looking directly in front of you, and sometimes it's a tough call for where you think the viewer's eyes will be for most of the clip. Additionally, I don't think she ever gets close enough to the camera to make it feel as immersive as it could have been. However, I figure there are still some folks who will have fun seeing the scenario play out :)

Next month I am shooting with Cali Logan, and I am going to try to work less hours at my "normal" job so I can get more editing done. Thank you for the support (and patience) as always.

I really liked this one! This is actually one of my favorite scenarios.
