Life/Editing Update

Hey everyone,

Per usual, I just wanted to check in with everybody so that I can keep y'all in the loop! I'm grateful for everyone's support, but of course, making these videos is not my main gig at the moment haha, so sometimes there are weeks when I'm able to do more editing/shooting/planning than others. This week is essentially the last week I have to finish making any major changes to my master's thesis, but the good news is that it's due at the end of the month (so barring any significant setbacks, I should be done with school for the time being, and that will hopefully open up some more time I'll have available to focus on making macro things!). Like mentioned previously, I'm going to do my best to have another quick little VR video out for you at the end of the month, before I can resume working on longer form videos again. However, if this thesis winds up kicking my ass, I apologize in advance for not getting it done in time haha.

This one is the last VR clip with Lauren, and the premise is rather simple. You are her new pet, and she comes home to put you in your new cage. It's pretty short and I'm not sure if I should cut out the middle portion, or leave it in. She quite literally puts you in a cage and ignores you, and I think while some people might like the realism of being trapped while she scrolls aimlessly on her computer, others might want things to be a bit more action packed. Regardless, this one is not too wild, but I dig Lauren's approach towards this clip. That is, even though she is seemingly nice, you wind up feeling more like an ornament or a goldfish than a "real" pet. 

Besides that, next month we should be meeting the next $400 goal! Which would mean we've essentially covered the next two shoots...however, as mentioned previously, I would like to put the collective shoot money towards one long shoot with Jennifer Rose, since people seem to really like her, and I think it would be cool to see what we could come up with over a longer period of time where we're not rushing so much. As soon as I have something set up with her, I will let you all know. She's been super busy with a lot of working gigs and we have not been able to coordinate any dates yet, but I hope we can get something booked sooner than later, because we originally planned on doing an outdoors video (so hopefully it won't be too cold by the time we shoot).
