Smrookies started in 2013 and before that sm trainee identities were always a secret. I guess sm decided that it would be profitable to create buzz for trainees. If I remember right the old sm building had an auditorium and they had some showcases there. In this season they are having a showcase in thailand. Its a shame that some of the rookies don't debut but then again there are trainees not in smrookies who do end up debuting anyway. If you ever watch Mickey Mouse Club 2015 it has: Mark, Hae, Jaemin, Jeno, Jisung on it as well as 4 smrookie girls that never debuted and I wish they had I thought they were talented. TT

2024-02-21 22:20:55 +0000 UTCI was shocked that other people were so surprised by member changes but I guess I was conditioned by all the member changes in all the other sm groups. Like I think that people forget or didn't know that Shinee and Aespa are the only sm groups that have never had member changes the 7 other groups have had members join or leave. ^^

2024-02-14 04:11:50 +0000 UTCAww! This is too cute. So happy to rewatch this with you. Love seeing Johnny and Ten be besties, everybody making fun of each other and all the baby faces. You really get to see actually NCT "life" in this season because it follows their schedule in Thailand rather than just playing games. Hansol not debuting made me not surprised about everything with Shotaro and Sungchan changing groups. I am just glad we still have them, and they are able to really shine where they are now.

2024-02-13 22:37:48 +0000 UTCIt is always crazy to me thinking that there was a time Doyoung wasn't in 127, like he debuted with 7th Sense but not with 127 at the beginning....there are times I have to remind d myself of how many times people got shifted around and debuted at different times. It is so fun to see how excited they are for cameras and crowds of fans knowing by now those are things that just seem normal and maybe even annoying to them now.

2024-02-13 20:05:59 +0000 UTCwe never found out why Hansol left but rumours said he left before/after 127 debuted with firetruck cus he wasnt part of the lineup.. if im not mistaken he was the oldest neo (prob same age as taeil) so some speculated he left bcs he thought he prob wouldnt get to debut so he couldnt wait any longer bcs of his age.. if only he waited a little bit more he prob wouldve debuted with johnny and doyoung with Limitless. He then became a kpop idol with a group called NSYNC (i think thats the name lmao) but it was unfortunate for him cus the group didnt go well & there was a lot of issues so he left too or the group disbanded.. hes now currently a dance teacher cus i saw someone posted abt him on tiktok like hes somewhere in the States teaching dance to people.

2024-02-13 18:46:24 +0000 UTCthey were performing for sm rookies show and bangkok was the last stop before debut if im not mistaken. they started to hve fans bcs of sm rookies show like sm released contents etc in preparation for their debut.. theres an app for it etc. at that time ty and jh were top 2 most famous rookies already. the sm rookies stage was held on jaehyun's birthday in 2016 and its actually one of his core memories cus every time he visits thailand he always brings up abt his birthday celebration with fans that he even posted a video of it on ig when 127 had a concert in thailand in 2022 (https://www.instagram.com/p/Cly2BnPPpaD/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==)
