You’re exactly right, that’s what I was saying from the beginning of the episode and the end that I can only feel bad for Nick for so long, but what I don’t like is Boston giving Nick hope by saying things like “We’ll see what our status changes to” when, to me, he really wants nothing more. That’s my biggest issue with Boston. Nick is still crazy for sticking around but it’s fucked up to play with someone’s emotions in that way when you know how they feel about you whether you’ve been upfront with them or not. They both need to leave each other alone, to me.

You can't ask for more than that. Nick is a grown man who has made the decision to carry on with the situation. That's all on him. If he can't handle it, that's his problem.
