Fun fact, Madripoor, the fictional island and city (south of Singapore) featured in this episode, was first introduced in The New Mutants #32 in 1985. It also plays a significant role in the Wolverine solo series starting in 1988, where Wolverine went undercover as "Patch," wearing a very From Russia with Love, style James Bond white tuxedo, black pants, and an eyepatch. Also, if you look closely in the background during one of the scenes, you can spot a neon sign that says "The Princess Bar." This bar in Madripoor was a place where Logan (as Patch) frequented and even became a co-owner. I assume Marvel couldn't use Madripoor in the MCU initially, as it fell under the X-Men movie rights, which were owned by Fox. However, after Disney bought Fox in 2019, those movie rights reverted back to Marvel, likely allowing them to incorporate Madripoor into the MCU with this episode. It's not a major X-Men location, but it's the start of Marvel integrating X-Men elements into the MCU.
