Dev Blog #14 - 0.2.2 Public Release: Act 1 - Oasis!

Finally, the public update is here!

This update begins the story of Act 1 - Oasis.
Changelog (from public release 0.1.1 → 0.2.2):

Added the Oasis section for Act 1 (all the new zones to explore)
Added the first Oasis encounter: Slime (milking, sex, and birth)
Added background music
Added dialogues and codex entries
Bug fixes

QoL Improvements:

Toggle button to show POIs on screen
"Use on myself" button in the inventory panel (lets you use an item directly on the protagonist without drag & drop)
Patch system (so future dev/fix updates will be lighter to download)

What's next?

There's a lot coming! Act 1 is divided into 4 major sections (Oasis, Underwater Ruins, Underground City, Wasp Hive).
The next phase will probably be the Underground City (this section is tightly linked to the others), and it's a huge part of the story.

Here are some small spoilers of what to expect:

The first humanoid aliens (connected to the ancient civilization that once lived and dominated the planet).
An organic fungoid supercomputer (connected to the fungal plant from Act 0 - Canyon, another remnant of the ancient civilization).
Clothing system (a rework of the inventory tab).
A new power to unlock: the ability to change the milk type based on what you're gestating - but not every gestation can do this!

To access the new area, you can do it in two ways:

By finishing the final dialogue of Act 0 (with max milk and not pregnant)
Or from the main menu, by starting a New Game and selecting the option to jump directly to the beginning of Act 1 - Oasis.

How to activate the Slime encounter:

Craft the bed (the first area has the right spot, and bushes around to gather materials).
Give spoiled fruit to the slime (this makes it your new "friend").
Sleep in the bed.
To activate the real encounter, you must be full of milk when you sleep.

To prevent the slime from always visiting you, simply interact with and pet it - that way, the next time you sleep, it will come back to visit you.
