My Dear Dragon - Pages 1-3

My Dear Dragon is a story set in the Seventh Realm, but unlike most of my other Seventh Realm art, I have no plans on making this a NSFW project. It is going to be a fairly straightforward and heartfelt story about transgender girl, Minerva, and her dragon friend, Draeve.
Now I know what kind of suspicions might be aroused when you hear the name "Draeve." Isn't it a bit similar to my own name, Maeve? And that's definitely true, but here's the full story. Earlier this month, my dear friend Riley shared a very lovely picture of a dragon on Furaffinity and said "you have this kind of dragon energy, Maeve."
Until then, I had never considered getting a dragon sona or anything like that, but it was a flattering image and I started doodling a dragon sona for myself (doodle included in this post). As I was doing that, I kept daydreaming up a story for Draeve and Minnie who was originally meant to be Riley's character before the story took turns that I didn't expect.
That story is now completely scripted and is probably not that close to reality where myself and Riley are concerned. But I just really liked the names of Draeve and Minnie, so they're staying. In reality, it was Riley who was one of many people who helped me come out, so Draeve helping Minnie turn into a girl is definitely not based on reality π
Anyway, My Dear Dragon will be uploaded in spurts and will most likely only exist in this sketchy style to save on time. But I hope you all will enjoy it nonetheless β€οΈ

In reality it's mostly based off of what I wish I had been told when I was younger, and I hoped that it would sound like something other people need to be told <3

2025-01-17 21:47:33 +0000 UTCI'm loving this already the way Draeve speaks to Minerva there at the end reminds me of these really soothing guided meditations I do with my therapist; it always helps me feel grounded and refreshed so I could imagine what Minerva may have been experiencing extremely pretty, very evocative and I love both characters already
