The Mysterious Mother Orc

A rogue duke, after failing a coup in North Galria, flees into one of the Orcish Khanates, where he hopes to use a disguise spell to avoid reprisals and await contact by his co-conspirators (this being some years ago, the erratic interaction of humans with transformative and illusory magic was not well established). Decades pass, however, and the young duke's contacts hear no word from him.

Eventually one former conspirator - at this point more curious than scheming - hires a mercenary to discover the duke's fate. She finds no sign of a human duke, disguised or otherwise, and most return empty handed. One does however hear a story about how a local magistrate met his wife while trying (in vain, as it turned out) to discover more about her past - the poor woman had suffered a freak accident which had left her without her memories, and there was no physical evidence of which of the other khanates she had come from and under what circumstances. A charming story, given how it ends with love and letting go of a vanished past, though certainly not a relevant one - the magistrate's wife, a kindly orc matriarch with a gentle temperament and a tremendous gaggle of children, bears so little resemblance to the target of their search.

Merry holidaysmas, everyone! 

So I was starting this pinup on Monday this week with the intention of trying to do a much simpler kind of coloring and shading than what I usually do. My hope was that I'd be able to have it done on Thursday because I knew I had a lot of stuff do this weekend. But the style of coloring I was going for just didn't work out so I basically lost one and a half days to trying to fix it before just giving up and going back to what works and at that point I felt compelled to do a stupidly complex background too x)

Anyway, I did end up really liking the final result and I hope you do too <3

[Update] After coming home from my survival job today I found that my Furaffinity account got suspended for this picture. FA doesn't allow for kids to be in the presence of naked adults in the context of pornography/erotica, which is a perfectly respectable position in my eyes. I had suspected this to be a possibility which was why I drew the kid with a blindfold on in the nude version. But just in case this causes some stir on Patreon, I've decided to crop the nude version so that you only see the nude adult. Apologies, but this is the safest way to do things :)
