An astronaut working on the outside of a near future space station is suddenly cut adrift by an enormous explosion. Though he survives the initial disaster, the glass visor of his helmet is cracked and slowly venting air as he drifts helplessly in the lifeless void.
Only minutes away from an inevitable death after his life support fails, the man's memories flash before his tear filled eyes. He happens upon one from his boyhood that drove him to becoming an astronaut in the first place--standing in a Midwestern cornfield one idyllic afternoon with his friends and younger siblings as they watch the launch of a rocket.
From the corner of his vision, he spots a strange white-haired, barefooted girl in a gown that he'd never seen before. She silently mouths just three words: 'Be not afraid.'
Despite the oddity of this the memory fills him with a strange peace, and he no longer feels the eternal chill of space. It is soon followed by the sudden sensations of tingling flesh and rushing air, as long white hair and six seraphic wings covered in feathers burst through the back of his suit... Breathing freely on celestial ether and a man no longer, the newborn angel returns to the wreckage of her former station in search of other souls to save.

Going for something a little more stylistic and simplistic with this one. I hope you like it <3
