Supermarket Play
Added 2021-10-21 13:04:41 +0000 UTCWe should play more sincerely, instead of surviving so seriously 💃🏼 It's a philosophy, that I picked up from Alan Watts, and that I now live by. He described that on your search for truth, for the real "you" inside yourself, however many layers you peel off, you will keep eluding yourself, because there's nothing to be found deep down. Each of us are an expression of the whole, the whole experiencing itself through each consciousness. None of your layers capture the truth more or less, the real you is always there. But the real you is not the ego you're holding on to. And instead of getting caught up in defending that illusionary ego, and getting so serious about your survival, you can come to a point of seeing the whole as a beautiful play. A play where good needs bad, where life needs death, where everything needs an opposite in order to exist. A play where you are not who you think you are. And so you can come to understand that playing isn't as silly as you thought it was. You can get sincere about playing... but try to not get too serious about it ;) I recommend "The Book" from Alan Watts if you want a way better explanation than mine 📖 PS.
