Rainbow Girls Project
Added 2021-09-23 16:36:45 +0000 UTCWe recently finished shooting the "RAINBOW GIRLS" project for @playboytveurope π In this series, we went looking for models with interesting stories. We originally came up with this project as a way to give the models a voice, to add their unique lives and personalities to the mix. Each model we found had a unique story to tell (that made her different from the "standard" model), about her body, her skin, her lifestyle, etc.
In the process of shooting these episodes, I did stumble upon 1 big limitation:
As an interviewer, I often felt the need to express my personal opinions on certain topics, the need to start a deeper conversation in search of the truth... But I refrained from doing so because I felt that these videos were meant for a mainstream audience and a TV channel that is looking for entertaining content in the first place. And I also didn't want to risk turning the mood of the shooting into a more serious direction.
On the upside, it was interesting to hear all these amazing stories and experiences and seeing all these models open up to us. But it has left my curiosity with an appetite for something deeper, something more investigative, a place where both pleasantness and unpleasantness can live. Let's see, maybe I'll turn this into a podcast one day...
