I suppose they're harder to make then contemporary or fantasy because there are fewer generic assets available. No one cares if your college hallway or medieval tavern looks like something else, but if your spaceship corridor looks like a Starfleet design, people will notice. I'll usually give them a try just for being sci-fi, even if they don't align particularly strongly with my preferred flavors in the adult content.
