Australia has always been pretty wonky when it comes to video games. and didn't they ban sexual figures and hentai coming into the country a few years ago?

Not sure it's fair to count ESO, since that's a Zenimax in-house product, just working with a Bethesda license. But the reason IS mods... Buggy launches notwithstanding, the Bethesda games enjoy a decade or more of relevance because they act as a framework for amateur developers and content creators... So since Morrowind they've never been *just* the packaged game; they've also been a very accessible and feature-rich equivalent to something like RPG Maker, or Unity, with a vast world to inject content into, a well documented toolset, a comparatively powerful scripting language, etc... I'm not excited to just play a new story and then uninstall... I'm exited to be here as a new sun rises on the next decade of endless content creation and community, and to explore and unravel it at the same time that everyone else is, not later when it's all noted in wikis and walkthroughs.

Skyrim, Fallout 4, ESO, Fallout 76 all buggy messes upon launch. Why are we hype-training Starfield? I think the brakes need pumped anytime we are talking Bethesda... I hope it will be playable when its like $20 on sale. Thats my feeling about it...

I'm pinning a lot of my hopes on Starfield modding to have a kind of casually sexualised game world I can exist in... I really thought CP2077 would achieve that, but it never did, and I've pretty much lost all hope for it. Hell, at the risk of tooting my own horn a little, nearly every criticism I had of Cyberpunk 2077 two years ago, about V being a character in a bubble who can't access what their own world offers, it still holds true and doesn't really look set to change much with Phantom Liberty. https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/kgmtvl/the_fundamental_problem_v_exists_in_a_bubble/ So yeah, Starfield is the new Chosen One, and looks like it'll be the lone framework for a whole new generation of sexual modding content.

After a relatively dry summer, I'm now being drowned in games to play haha. Balder's Gate 3, Sea of Stars, Starfield, Mortal Kombat 1, and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty are stealing what little time I have in September that isn't already taken up by my wife and I's anniversary as well as my brother's wedding. Better than having zero games to play though, haha.

Thank you, I think I can get her to try it, but we'll see if she ends up sticking with it. Still the game that she latched onto most is huniepop. Maybe I'll play hunie cam studio, as I've never really given it a real try (still annoyed about no Aiko). Maybe she'll be interested in bg3...

I'm trying to introduce talking about adult content in video games to a wider audience, so I'm picking more mainstream games that have some sort of "adult theming". Good luck with L&S!

Annie

I have been so busy and out of sorts that I've hardly played anything, and nothing that I have played was new. Here's hoping that I have the time and money to play bg3 when it finally hits console. Could also do with something new that I can play with my girlfriend (haven't yet convinced her to play L&S with me).
