Thanks! I can't stress enough how there needs to be a lot more research.

Great video, very interesting.
I've heard that men generally get aroused by visual cues, while women generally get aroused by situational cues. Seems to match well with the numbers you present in the video, where women enjoy sexual content more if there is story and foreplay.

I hope more women make adult games too! Though I suspect they are not as rare as you might think, all of my favourite games are made by (a majority of) women. But maybe that says more about me than the state of the industry.

Yeah. It was a side project, but it is the only game I have covered. It think there was a Steam issue with one of the other games that I was planning on covering as well, but that was more than a year ago so I'm fuzzy on my recollection.

I'm pretty sure Tlaero didn't write the Star Wars game—I think it was when she was taking a leave of absence. I didn't think it stood up to the Elsaverse games, personally (but have been waiting for Toro 7 to get further along before trying it, so can't provide a comparison there).

I covered the Star Wars parody and I'm probably going to cover Toro 7 when it has more content.

I think we'll see that number increase as more women discover and enjoy this industry.

Hi Annie — Great video as always! Am I correct that you have not reviewed the "Elsaverse" series by Tora Productions—Tlaero and Mortze? (Dreaming with Elsa, Redemption for Jessika, Finding Miranda, Saving Chloe, ...?). Are you familiar with them? To me, it's an important series, and one that I've been thinking for awhile would be great to see your channel cover. And now I'm curious how well you think they'd fit as a recommendation for women (Tlaero, the writer, is a woman which is a big part of what I think makes them stand a cut above most other games). https://www.patreon.com/tora/about

I think the better question than "Why don't more women play adult games?" is arn't there more female adult game devs.

I've already found the major confound in the survey questions that heavily suppressed the "women who consume porn" numbers. I'm going to add it to the video coming out on Patreon.

764 pages??? I just need the abstract and conclusion! At least to start.

Thats the stuff, why I am a patreon. Really interesting content. I have to admit, part of the reason why I am watching your content is, that you are female and the different view on the subject is interesting. As a former medical student its really sad, that no scientific sexual education is present in university (for german medicine at least). As part of an optional course I attended with a few other students in psychiatry, I looked at this study, which might interest you. Its not about video games, but its a more general study about sexuality with an high n count (which is nice in itself) and very interesting results. Sadly its in dutch......but the summary is available in english and german I think. And if you are interested, a friend of mine translated (rough) the study in german. Have a nice day and thanks for the content. Study: https://www.projektsexus.dk/project-sexus-in-english

I usually don't choose things like this, because I don't want to look like I'm pandering. I mean I do Christmas and stuff, but I'm never sure what is "too far".

That is a pretty standard Otome Game plotline, with the only differences being no "Harem Ending" and the lack of "explicit" content.

I also find it really odd that female protag games are the most likely to contain non-con and corruption... I think a game where a woman builds a harem would be great for a lot of people to play. Just clone any successful college game and gender swap the characters... but alas, the market doesn't have this at the moment.

Heh! I'm trying to tell the guys at work that they were supposed to bring cakes, and they should go to the shop and get some but no-one's biting... ☹️

Thanks! The timing was an accident. All three were supposed to be out last month, but "Harry Potter Mayhem" delayed me.
