I hope everyone's New Year has been good. We're almost to the 2 Year Anniversary of SPG and I've been working on figuring out what the format will look like as we move into year 3.
My plan in 2023 is still to release a video covering Hogwarts Legacy as well as a video covering Starfield. Neither of these will be reviews, but will cover specific topics about the games. Now I know that some of you have expressed concern about me covering anything related to Harry Potter and I totally respect where you are coming from. While I may not agree with your premise, I do support your right to make that argument. As for what these videos will specifically be about, you'll just have to wait and see, but I promise neither will be what you expect and hopefully not be one of a 1000 videos on YouTube parroting the same premise.
The two larger projects that I am working on now that all of the 2022 videos are done are the upcoming flavor video and the new series that starts with the "Why is Incest so popular video." There is also a censorship aspect I need to address, but that may end up being its own project or somehow included along the way. This is really hard, because it is becoming increasingly obvious that the most popular flavors seems to heavily overlap with the topics and flavors that are most commonly banned. Like I have no idea how to even talk about this in any capacity on YouTube without saying, "I can only talk about this next section on Patreon." Which would be an asshole move to say in a YouTube video. So I need to find a sanitized way to talk about flavors that addresses the overarching reality of censorship. Then I can just mention the Incest video on Patreon as the first in a series that addresses topics that are too nuanced for YouTube. We'll just have to see.
Beyond that I'm continuing to make SPG related art. And for those who asked, the SPG dinosaur was still in the Lunar New Year image. They were just chilling with the satsumas.
I'll cover all this and more in the monthly update video. I'm pretty sure that video will also include footage from Sensō-ji temple on New Year's. Until then, I hope everyone has an Awesome week!

It seems that Patreon allows me to talk about the subject, I just can't make games that have it. At least that is their current stated policy. We'll just have to see how things go.

2023-01-23 05:24:33 +0000 UTCI mean you could always talk about landladies and room mates… as I was a little slow in figuring out what that was referring to until a game allowed me to customize the naming from that default. And then I face palmed because the text made so much more sense. I just thought it was a weird (to me) cultural thing or something. Good luck figuring that stuff out.
