Nighttime in Brunei — Dinner and Gym

After watching the beautiful sunset, we decided to grab a meal. My friend took me to a unique place called Liyana Restaurant. I’m not quite sure why it has a low rating — to me, everything seemed perfectly fine.

Actually, he brought me here to try a traditional dish — maybe in Indonesia we’d call this Papeda, right?
One bowl of this is actually meant for two people, but he was worried I might not like it, so he ordered some backup food. In the end, I decided to go for ayam penyet instead, hahahaha.
He came up with the idea to record a video of me trying this dish, just to capture my reaction — here’s the video, haha.

DINNER IN BRUNEI

The taste was quite plain, with some seasoning. They said you’re supposed to swallow it straight without chewing — so fun!

Dining here cost us about 29 Brunei dollars (around 218 USD).

Next, after dinner, we headed straight to the gym. Since we arrived around 8:30 PM, we waited outside until 9:00 PM so it wouldn’t be too crowded.

And yeah! Let’s head in!

he walk-in price (per visit) is 3 Brunei dollars (about 2.50 USD).
The condition of the restroom.

This gym is part of the stadium complex, which also has a running track and field — mainly for athletes. As for gym members, well… we just stick to the gym area, hahaha. The equipment is quite complete, and even at 9 PM it was still busy inside! There’s no AC, only fans, so it does get a bit warm.

Thirsty!! Let’s grab a drink here — it’s only 1 Brunei dollar (about 0.06 USD).
Here’s what the gym looks like — it’s fun! We worked out until 11 PM, so we spent a full two hours here.

KING OF GYM

I think this gym is totally worth it! It’s affordable, well-equipped, and no wonder it’s always packed!

After the gym, we headed straight home — I went back to my hotel, and he went back to his place.

Where will our adventure take us tomorrow?

To be continued . . .
